Accreditations

Our staff hold a wide range of accreditations to support any environmental project. If you don’t recognize the acronyms in their profiles, don’t worry. Here’s a quick list of our team’s building-related accreditations. Our staff also has experience working with specific municipal green building standards

LFA – Living Future Accreditation is the professional credential that recognizes proficiency in the world’s most ambitious, advanced, and holistic sustainable design standards, the Living Building Challenge.

LEED® AP – The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional (AP) credential demonstrates advanced knowledge in green building practices and specialization in a particular LEED® Rating System – such as Building Design + Construction (BD+C), Interior Design + Construction (ID+C), Operations + Maintenance (O+M), Homes+ Multi-Family (Homes) and Neighbourhood Development (ND).

LEED® Fellow – The LEED® Fellow designation was developed to honor and recognize distinguished LEED® APs who have made a significant contribution to the field of green building and sustainability at a regional, national, or international level. Brenda Martens has the designation.

LEED® GA – The LEED® Green Associate credential designates individuals who have a documented, up-to-date understanding of the most current green building principles and practices.

WELL™ AP – The WELL™ Accredited Professional (WELL™ AP) credential signifies knowledge in human health and wellness in the built environment, and specialization in the WELL™ Building Standard. Shijie Wang is a WELL AP.

Fitwel Ambassador – Ambassadors are leaders and active participants in Fitwel’s healthy building movement. They are well-versed in the evidence-based connection between design and health, can integrate Fitwel’s strategies within projects, and are able to effectively navigate the Fitwel Portal to track progress and attain Fitwel Certification.

CPHC – Certified Passive House Consultant international professional designation recognizes individuals who have completed the Passive House Canada training and passed the Passivhaus Institut credential exam. This professional can offer Passive House Planning Package modelling and analysis. Director of Green Building Services, Joanne Sawatzky is a CPHC.

TRUE Advisor – The TRUE Advisor certificate demonstrates that an individual possesses basic knowledge of zero waste terminology, tools, technologies, and implementation strategies to assist in the TRUE Zero Waste certification process in accordance with the TRUE Zero Waste Rating System. Caeleigh Marshall is a TRUE advisor.

BuiltGreen Canada High Density Verifier – The BuiltGreen Canada High Density Verifier is a designation provided by BuiltGreen Canada to an individual with extensive industry experience who has been nominated by their peers. The Verifier provides on-site verification and inspection for BuiltGreen projects. Joanne Sawatzky is a BuiltGreen Canada High Density Verifier and the first female Verifier in Canada.
