Willingdon Park – Phase 6 is a multi-tenant office building in Burnaby, BC that has undergone capital and operational upgrades, resulting in exceptional energy performance and significant cost savings. The building pursued certification in the LEED Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (EBOM) program. The design team’s approach to sustainability was holistic and included building systems, operations, and tenant engagement. In the end, the building achieved savings of 57% in electricity, 90% in natural gas, and 40% in water, eliminating over 250 tonnes of GHG emissions annually. Light House provided project management services to ensure the LEED EBOM certification was a success.
