Burnaby Central Secondary School achieved LEED Gold certification. The school features a range of impressive amenities, including a world-class track facility, a 255-seat theatre, and a 3-bay auto mechanics shop. The building’s sustainable design is reflected in its increased energy efficiency, geoexchange closed loop heating/cooling system, weather-regulated irrigation system, and use of recycled and regional materials. Light House played a crucial role in the project’s success, providing expertise in sustainable design and managing the LEED certification process.
