Project Description
The Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Centre building, a three-storey institutional and residential building located on the west coast of Vancouver Island, in Tofino, British Columbia. The Centre is meant to be a locale for visitors, locals, staff, and residents to come together to learn, share, work, and live with a better understanding of the intrinsic beauty and value of the UNESCO Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Reserve. The project is on track to become Living Building Challenge certified. Light House is working together with MOTIV Architects and the project team in providing certification management, embodied emission analysis, and funding application support.
